Lucian Matis kicked off Toronto Fashion week with an elegant fall winter collection perfectly set in the regal main ballroom of The Royal York Hotel on Monday evening.
Though we tend to think of cozy cashmere, pants, and outerwear for the chillier season, Matis clearly went a different direction with accents of daring nip-peaking lace and butt grazingly short dresses throughout the collection. Warmer pieces included a floor length sheer sleeved button down gown, a pant suit, and a long black wool coat with ostrich detailing on the collar all featured in black with a few bits of canary yellow and ebony-green peeking out of the feathered dresses.
