It seems like every week Lowell teases us with a another piece of exciting news to prepare us for her upcoming album release later this month via Arts & Crafts. Lowell dropped her latest single yesterday, “88”, and we’re in love with it! The singer manages to make the oddest and most unconventional sounds work and be incredibly catchy. I swear I sung a variation of a part of the chorus last week in my kitchen but I doubt it would sell. Lowell’s playfulness with sound translates perfectly into her music as she rebels against traditional pop elements and experiments with the more erratic showing us that anything can sound good. Or maybe, it’s just Lowell.
