A traveling exhibit from Louis Vuitton entitled Volez, Voguez, Voyagez has just opened inside the New York Stock Exchange building.
The exhibit, which originated in Paris, explores the brand’s history through a selection of new and vintage Louis Vuitton pieces, from their classic luggage trunks to Supreme collaboration skateboards. Split into 10 chapters, Volez, Voguez, Voyagez, which translates to “Fly, Sail, Travel,” investigates Louis Vuitton’s 163 year history and the important role travel has played in their products and brand identity. The exhibit was curated by fashion historian Oliver Saillard and is accompanied by a Louis Vuitton pop-up store in the nearby Brookfield Place.
Speaking to Town & Country, Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke said:
“Louis Vuitton has always been at the forefront of creation and innovation, today and over a century ago. Constantly taking inspiration from our past we craft the trends of today, Olivier Saillard has immersed himself in the Louis Vuitton archives to decode its secrets. He delivers a fresh vision of our past, present and future.”
Volez, Voguez, Voyagez will be on display at the New York Stock Exchange building until January 7, 2018 and is free to attend. Head to LouisVuitton.com to book your visit.
