Few watches have a display as instantly recognisable as Louis Vuitton’s Spin Time. First introduced in 2009, its signature 12 rotating cubes were inspired by the mechanical departure boards found in airports and railway stations, a fitting expression of the House’s enduring Art of Travel narrative.
Following six limited editions unveiled in 2025, Louis Vuitton is now making Spin Time a permanent fixture, introducing five new references that push the distinctive complication into more expressive territory.
Colour takes centre stage. A 39.5mm white-gold model arrives in deep green, while a rose-gold edition pairs its sculptural cubes with luminous Australian blue opal, baguette-cut sapphires and diamonds. The 42.5mm Spin Time Air brings a lighter, suspended architecture in Louis Vuitton’s signature blue, with its 12 cubes spelling out the House’s name.
For the traveller, the Spin Time Air Antipode is perhaps the most intriguing. Its 12 cubes simultaneously display 24 time zones by pairing cities exactly 12 hours apart, while a day-and-night indication makes the information unusually intuitive.
At the apex sits the Spin Time Air Flying Tourbillon in platinum, combining the floating cube display with a central flying tourbillon and a salmon-toned dial. Its Monogram flower-shaped tourbillon cage brings the Louis Vuitton identity directly into the movement itself.
It is an assured evolution of one of contemporary watchmaking’s most distinctive signatures. As Jean Arnault, Watch Director of Louis Vuitton, puts it, Spin Time is a design that “could only have come from Louis Vuitton.”
