The Louis Vuitton x j-hope LV Buttersoft Sneaker refines a familiar 2000s runner shape through a personal lens. Led by Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, the collaboration started as a custom design for j-hope’s world tour, built with comfort in mind and elevated through precise, handcrafted detailing.

The build balances movement and craftsmanship. A springy, layered rubber outsole meets an ultra-soft calf suede upper, finished with hand-stitched and hand-painted elements that lend it a more tailored feel. The bright rose-and-white colorway keeps things expressive, reflecting the artist’s energy without overcomplicating the palette.

Details carry the story. Wide woven laces feature a Monogram cloche clé and “Your, My Hope” printed at the tips. A Speedy P9-inspired textile label sits under the tongue, while the exterior leather patch combines the Louis Vuitton Paris stamp with j-hope’s signature. Leather enchapes at the heel and toe nod to the House’s luggage roots, with hidden squirrel and acorn charms tucked beneath the heel for those who know.
