Louis Vuitton Parfums introduces Ambre Levant as a new eau de parfum centred on two defining materials, amber and oud, developed by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. Rather than overcomplicating the structure, the fragrance focuses on clarity and balance, built to reflect a specific atmosphere tied to the golden hour just before sunset.

It opens with mandarin, adding a ripe, slightly gourmand brightness that immediately softens the composition. A measured blend of cardamom, cinnamon, white pepper, and saffron follows, bringing warmth without excess and setting up a subtle tension through the middle.

From there, the fragrance settles into its core. Amber is explored in layers, from the depth of resinous notes supported by labdanum and white incense to the more contemporary edge of ambergris, which introduces a saline, almost skin-like quality. The effect is steady and radiant rather than dense.

Oud anchors the base, sourced in Bangladesh through an exclusive Louis Vuitton partnership in the Sylhet region. The material develops over decades within Aquilaria trees before being carefully harvested, resulting in a wood that is refined, slightly animalic, and controlled. It adds depth and extension to the composition without dominating it.

The scent is housed in the brand’s signature flacon, rendered in transparent black glass with a warm amber tone that reflects the fragrance inside. It is designed to be refilled at select Louis Vuitton locations equipped with perfume fountains.

Ambre Levant is available as a 100ml eau de parfum priced at $440, offered through selected Louis Vuitton boutiques and online.
