The time of day the sky goes from pink to purple, and lush, silhouetted palm trees reach into light of the city and stars spilled together… all quite literally packaged into Louis Vuitton’s new fragrance launch.
Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, created the eau de cologne collection to take us from morning, through sunset (with previous California Dream, Afternoon Swim and On the Beach) and to the heat of the night in latest City of Stars.
A quintet of juicy citruses: blood orange, lemon, red mandarin, bergamot, and lime sparkle on top of creamy sandalwood and musk, making for the boldest and most sensual of the scents. Los Angeles native artist Alex Israel collaborated on the original artwork for the leather trunk and travel case.
Last week’s intimate dinner party took place overlooking LA, at dusk from the rooftop of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and placed some of the brightest stars in their packaging perfect scene, including Miguel, Alana, Este and Danielle Haim, Luka Sabbat, and Mia Moretti.
Belltrud describes City of Stars as “extroverted and magnetic” and we say, bring on the hot hot night.
