In honour of the latest edition of their famed City Guide book series, Louis Vuitton bringing its librarie éphémère project to Capri, Italy this summer. The French fashion house has created a special pop-up overlooking the splendid setting of Capri’s Piazzetta, the historic newsstand, a landmark for residents and visitors to the azure isle. After more than 90 years in business, the newsstand has moved, leaving a literal hole in access for all visitors and residents looking for newspapers, magazines and books from all over the world. What better place to dedicate to the Maison’s publishing series.
For the past 20 years, Louis Vuitton has released their City Guide series which has explored 30 of the world’s leading destinations. The guides highlight a unique and somewhat offbeat look at local fashion, design, contemporary art, food, and culture. Each volume features writers and guests from diverse backgrounds asking them to provide a relatively subjective view of the city, including what are the most beautiful hotels, the best restaurants, the quirkiest shops, and the most famous historic places.
If you find yourself in that Italian Pennisula this summer be sure to stop by and check out this very chic pop-up.
