Milan Design Week, better known as Salone del Mobile, is about to officially kick off, giving the world new and inspiring objects to brighten the minutia of life. This year LOEWE presents a collection of new lamps, almost comedically entitled LOEWE Lamps, featuring works from 24 internationally renowned artists. Each artist commissioned to create a piece also has a long-standing relationship with the house, which allows for a certain level of trust and freedom to create their own special vision of a lamp. Even more fun is that this is the first time many of the artists have created lamps, and as such, approached the task in new, unexpected ways using a wide range of mediums and materials, resulting in fun and unexpected outcomes of light.
