Appleton, WI’s Tenement brought their incredible live show to Toronto’s Smiling Buddha on Sunday night. Touring off their recently released Self Titled record, they played a solid no nonsense set barely addressing the audience or stopping between songs but just playing stellar song after song. The core three-piece was bolstered by three additional instrumentalists helping to fill out the songs even further. Impressively, they also opened for themselves, under the moniker of Dusk, sanding down the punk edges and adding a bit more twang to their sound. Additional support came from Toronto punk bands Prom Nite and Pedestrian who both played short, incendiary sets from the floor of the venue.
