London’s Single Mothers brought their acclaimed live show to Toronto’s Lee’s Palace last night. While its been just over a year since they last performed in the city, the band that took the stage behind frontman Drew Thomson was almost entirely new. You’d be hard pressed to tell that they were a new band though, as they worked their way through songs from last years ‘Negative Qualities’. Thomson remains an excellent frontman and spent most of the set singing directly into the crowd who were losing their marbles. Opening the night was PKEW PKEW PKEW and recent signing to Claire Boucher’s Eerie Organization collective, Nicole Dollanganger.
