Live Music: Ratking and Trash Talk at Webster Hall, NYC

Ratking, Trash Talk, Lee Bannon, and Show Me The Body played a packed Marlin Room at Webster Hall last night. Hype off a sold out show in Brooklyn’s Palisades, they brought their diverse set to Manhattan and didn’t disappoint. They have different sounds and fan bases which makes for an interesting and exciting night. Imagine a classic hip hop show morphing into grunge, complete with circle pits and moshing.

Ratking just released an album called 700 Fill (which you can download for free at Bit Torrent) and we got to hear a lot of new material. Princess Nokia also joined the group for a song and crowd surfed. Changing pace and sound, Trash Talk unleashed a wild show on us, inviting fans to stage dive, crowd surf, and form a sick circle pit.

Lee Bannon dropped seriously dope beats and we want to hear more from him. Show Me The Body started out the night with a banjo and it’s not what you think.
