British Electronica singer Adam Bainbridge brought his Kindness project to Toronto’s Rivoli on Friday night. Backed by a stellar live ensemble the Bainbridge and the band jammed their way through a concise set, drawing from both his albums. Known for his collaborations with Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes and Robyn, in-between his songs the band played through small sections of a number of popular hits.
Notably covering “Swingin’ Party” by the Replacements, which counts as one of the strangest places to hear that song played. Bainbridge had no trouble getting the crowd moving, leading by example with some stellar dance moves and his excellent five piece band easily kept up.
