We just caught a stellar performance from Jamila Woods at Pitchfork Music Festival in her hometown of Chicago so we saw it fit to stop by her headlining performance at The Garrison in our hometown of Toronto.
After an opening set from fellow Chicago artist theMIND, Woods performed a short selection of material including her collaborations with Chance The Rapper and tracks from her 2016 debut project, HEAVN. The combination of Woods’ angelic vocals and her supporting band’s instrumentation created an environment full of dancing, cheering, singing and smiling.
