Live Music: Earlwolf & The Internet at Irving Plaza in New York

Earlwolf at Irving Plaza New York

On Saturday night, the hoodlums and awkward kids flooded into Irving Plaza in New York City for a special concert from Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt, more affectionately known as Earlwolf. Making sure he made bank, Odd Future head honcho Tyler, also booked OF affiliate The Internet to open for them. You have to give Tyler credit, he makes sure he milks every cent from the kids. Even the tour merch is all from their very own Golf Wang clothing line.

The show acted as a warmup to their next day Governors Ball performances. The concert was essentially a hip hop mosh up, with Tyler and Earl performing songs from both of their albums, group mixtapes, and features. The show was exactly what you would expect from the notoriously ill-behaved rappers, with heckling from both the audience and Tyler, moshing, crowd-surfing and rafter-climbing.
