Literary Sport is teaming up with Xero Shoes for the sandal of the season. Revisiting one of the label’s earliest touchpoints in barefoot design: the Genesis sandal, refined with a quiet elevation.
Dropping July 8, the collaboration leans into everything Literary Sport does well: restraint, considered detail, and a clear point of view. Instead of overcomplicating things, they focus on tightening up what matters. It’s minimal design with intent: preserve the essentials, remove the noise.
The original paracord construction has been imagined with a navy leather cord to feel more polished while keeping the barefoot sensibility intact. A single polished silver bead punctuates the design, adding just enough shine to stand out without breaking the sandal’s understated feel.
Each pair comes in a custom mesh drawstring bag, perfect to toss into your summer travel bag, reinforcing a sense of thoughtful practicality. The bag features dedicated compartments for each sandal and an interior pouch, making it easy to keep everything organized whether you’re travelling, commuting, or tossing them into your gym tote.
Literary Sport continues to be one of our favourite athleisure brands to watch. Their Paris showroom is always a must-visit for us during fashion week, and this project with Xero Shoes feels like a natural extension of that universe: elevated, functional, and quietly obsessed with the details.
