Maybe you’ve heard, maybe you haven’t, but Scarlett Johansson is in a seemingly cool girl-band called Sugar for Sugar, and they’ve just covered the 80’s new wave banger “Bizarre Love Triangle” by New Order. Recorded for an album titled “The Time is Now”, made specifically for the charity amFar (The Foundation for Aids Research), the cover is pretty amazing and leaves us wanting to hear more from Sugar for Sugar. Along with Scarlett, the rest of The Time is Now features some other cool artists covering other 80’s hits: Phantogram covers Phill Collins’ “Take Me Home”, Lower Dens covers Hall & Oates “Maneater” and Aloe Blacc covers Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”. The album is out on October 7th, and all proceeds will go towards AIDS research, such an amazing cause. You go, ScarJo.
