Lisa Prank is the solo-project of Seattle-based bad-ass Robin Edwards. In 2014 she released her 5-track tape Crush on the World and this past summer she returned with her new record Adult Teen on Father/Daughter Records. One of the tracks on that album is the oh so true “Luv is Dumb” which now has an equally fun video to match.
The Marcy Stone-Franco directed video is one-part love letter to Seattle and another part Singles homage, which also happens to be a love letter to Seattle but is instead directed by Cameron Crowe in 1992. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to have seen the movie to enjoy this rad music video. Ideally, we recommend watching both. The video also features members of fellow Seattle bands Tacocat (check out their On The Rise), Chastity Belt, and Dogbreth. Is it just us or is a trip to Seattle in order?
