Lena Dunham gets turned into Antonio Canova’s sculpture of Pauline Bonaparte as Venus Victrix on the cover of The New York Times Magazine’s fall culture issue. To turn Dunham into high art for the cover of the magazine they commissioned artist Victoria Diehl and what looks like a large crew of people who made her look just like the sculpture (if you watch the making-of video on their site).
Accompanying the cover photo is an interview with Dunham where she talks about her forthcoming book Not That Kind Of Girl among other topics including her family, boyfriend, her work, and her formative experiences.
