Heritage tennis brand Lacoste is walking into a new season with the release of their newest footwear silhouette: the L001. Originally revealed by rapper and streetwear/fashion icon A$AP Nast, the new shoe takes Lacoste’s rich tennis heritage and transforms it into a new modern classic.
The L001 is a totally new sneaker, registered by Lacoste as the first of its kind. With key details taken from an original shoe created by Lacoste’s founder, René Lacoste, and a vintage tennis racket from the ‘80s, the retro shape of the original René shoe inspired the spirit of the new L001.
Clean, geometric lines compliment a herringbone-patterned upper, with a thick yet streamlined sole. Featuring the brand’s signature croc logo embossed on the heel, and LACOSTE written on the tongue, the shoe embodies a minimalistic yet timeless look.
The L001 perfectly encapsulates the brand’s iconic heritage moments as well as the essence of their tennis roots, creating an all-new modern sneaker rooted in their own history.
