Kenzo is known for its amazing prints, incredible colour palettes and unique shapes, especially when it comes to its accessories offerings. The French luxury house has combined all of those elements into one distinctive design as part of EASTPAK’s Artist Studio collaboration series, and its all for a good cause. The limited edition backpack features Kenzo’s signature zebra print in a variety of colours and with such whimsical finishing details as a tiger claw applique. Kenzo’s Humberto Leon and Carol Lim told i-D that they wanted their finished piece to “be a collage of the world of KENZO.” The EASTPAK Artist Studio series launched today, World AIDS Day, with all proceeds due to be donated to Designers Against AIDS. While the finished pieces are beautiful and the initiative is a great marriage of art and fashion, Leon and Lim offer the most important takeaway from the project: “Don’t forget about this disease.” For more information on World AIDS Day visit the website here.
