Looking to escape reality? Newly formed woke bae Katy Perry instead gets a grip on reality in her new music video for “Chained to the Rhythm.”
The visual is set in a Jetsons-esque retro-futuristic theme park “Oblivia” where it’s all sunshine, smiles, and perfect order. It’s not until Katy has her finger pricked on a rose that momentarily wakes her up from utopia, but a visit from Skip Marley in the middle of her 3D film screening really jerks her awake and helps Katy break free from society conditioned to its surroundings.
