We first fell in love with Kara Ross’s beautiful jewellery collections last summer when we discovered her stunning pieces at Bicyclette Boutique in Toronto, and last week we had the pleasure of sneaking a peek at next seasons collection for spring summer 2013.
Handmade in Ross’s New York office, the spring summer collection, as well as her lower priced line KARA by Kara Ross, experiments with resin to create a lighter more versatile substitute for aquamarine, amber, and coral. She also brings in recycled paper mixed with gold for a few kitchier, younger pieces, as well as exotic skins and gemstones for which she’s known. Also new for spring are her signature clutch style, reworked in cork, leather, and treated exotic skins.
