JUMA always hits it out of the park at Toronto Fashion week. They bro sis design team have the best models, well-selected music, and the most banging collections, every season, without fail. On Monday we had the pleasure of seeing their Spring Summer 2012 collection following the Holts opening night presentation.
Held in the studio space within the tents at David Pecaut Square, the runway was dotted with manikin vignettes veiled in their signature silk scarves. The models emerged to an older Beck track revealing the brands signature silken slouchy silhouette with the addition of a larger accessory collection than last season. Black and white nature inspired prints made their debut into the JUMA library, while classics from their Fall 2011 line, like their multi-coloured texture knit and their printed silk twill, have been re-imagined with a lighter ease exuding from each model’s glitter swoosh in their hair.
The addition of larger accessories like printed tote bags, duffles, clutches, and iPad cases dotted the collection, mainly saturated with Turkish floral, camel, fish, feather, hummingbird, sand dune, and peacock printed silk elegantly draped and tailored in each look. Take a gander at our favourite looks from the Spring 2012 collection below and be sure to watch our video of the finale.
