Back in January, we introduce you to rising Toronto singer/songwriter by way of her debut Legends EP – a three-song project executively produced by production duo HMLT that we described as “warm, layered and incredibly sweet.”
Joyia has been hard at work since that release performing at several R&B showcases across Toronto (and hosting a sold-out show of her own at The Burdock) and now she has returned with a visual accompaniment for another track from Legends, the sultry ballad “Adore You.” Directed by Jimmy Vi, the music video features singing out to a past lover while pacing around her apartment at golden hour. It’s not a difficult visual concept to grasp but don’t we all pace around our apartments when we sing ballads about our lovers?
