Vancouver chamber folk-pop songwriter Jordan Klassen recently released his latest album Javelin and now there’s a video for his haunting track “No Salesman”. Shot in Iceland it’s a dreamy piece that focuses on water. As Klassen explained to BrooklynVegan

“No Salesman” is a song about the tension between loving something, and wanting something more. Directors Dan & Pag (DO Films) highlighted this so well in the video for the song. There’s this sense of longing and waiting in the imagery of water, and it all materializes beautifully and unexpectedly in the conclusion.

Directors Dan & Pag added…

Our idea to depict “No salesman” into images is to stage a lyrical interpretation of a love story by a parallel with an actual love story and the relationship that the Icelandic people vow to water. In fact, they actually have an existing bath culture, and the setup of it’s staging is simply breathtaking. Eventually, both stories will merge, as the main characters will mute into actual water creatures, emerging to conceal their both true love, water and their relation.

Javelin is out now on Nevado Music. Gra
