H&M Spring 2013 Preview

Last week we had the pleasure of a sneak peak at what the Spring 2013 season looks like for men and women at H&M. Inspired by the 21st century Bohemian urbanite, for women, Spring invites delicate neutrals in everything from embellished leathers to dreamy paisleys. Bursts of Spanish reds pepper the collection in tasselled skirts, perforated driving gloves, and causal oversized knits. Accessories fit well into this casual boho aesthetic with the tassel detail carrying over into leather bags and scarves, while the jewellery is more on tropical side in the shape of pineapples, sea shells, and western touched turquoise.

For men bright colours and prints evoke a confident urban vibe with playful ethnic and traditional oversized floral prints. Key pieces for the season are of course blazers and button downs paired casually with hot coral linen shorts in cotton, printed scarves, and mesh panama hats. Collared shirts have been trimmed with contrasting woven melange and bomber jackets have been updated with a slouchier layered look in mind in fabrics like jersey and silk blended cotton.

Overall Spring is looking quite refreshing, especially as we embark on a season of snow and slush. Take a look at the photos of both mens and womens collections coming this spring to H&M below.
