Touring and travelling can mean a lot of spare time in between shows, and Jeffrey Innes, Yukon Blonde’s frontman, has written up enough new and exciting material to create High Ends, his own solo project. With tinges of Yukon Blonde here and there, Innes explores more synth-based riffs and psychedelia to frame his catchy melodies, drawing comparisons to Tame Impala and Ariel Pink.
Have a listen to High Ends’ new song ‘Intoxicated’ which just debuted yesterday below. His full album Super Class is set to come out on October 7th via Dine Alone Records, which include collaborations with indie notables of the Canadian music scene such as Ladyhawke’s Darcy Hancock, The New Pornographers’ Kathryn Calder and Gold & Youth drummer, Jeff Mitchelmore.
