There is a certain confidence that comes with a Hermès show. The house does not need to over-explain what it is doing. The clothes are the statement. For Spring Summer 2027, Nadège Vanhée continued to explore that familiar Hermès balance of craftsmanship and ease, presenting a collection that felt light, relaxed and incredibly considered.

The show took place on a bright white runway, putting the focus directly on the materials. Open knits, featherweight leather, sheer layers and mesh embroidered with leather details gave the collection a sense of movement. Pieces that could have felt heavy or formal were softened, from fluid tailoring to dresses and skirts designed to move naturally with the body.

The leather stood out in particular. For a house built around one of fashion’s most recognizable materials, it was refreshing to see it treated with such restraint. It appeared almost weightless. The craftsmanship was present, but it never felt like it was trying to prove anything.

The palette stayed grounded in Hermès territory with warm neutrals, browns and creamy whites, but the abundance of vibrant orange was particularly tantalizing. That unmistakable Hermès orange brought an energy to the collection that was impossible to miss. I almost regret switching my iPhone 17 Pro from Cosmic Orange to the new Glacier Blue because, seeing that colour everywhere on the runway, I realized I had abandoned a pretty perfect shade match. Turns out Hermès orange might be the ultimate flex.

The accessories followed the same approach, with woven bucket bags, understated sandals and boots that felt like natural extensions of the collection. Being there, the details were where the show really came alive: the movement of a knit, the transparency of a layered fabric and the precision of a leather panel.

The finale brought everything together with Talk Talk’s “Life’s What You Make It” filling the room. It was an unexpected but fitting choice, capturing the same feeling as the collection itself: optimistic, effortless, and focused on enjoying well-made things.

Hermès Spring Summer 2027 was not about chasing attention. It was about knowing exactly what you are and letting the work speak for itself.
