Hermès continues to expand its Barénia fragrance universe with Barénia Pleine Fleur, a new eau de parfum created by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel, inspired by the house’s heritage of exceptional leather.

The third creation in the Barénia story, reinterprets the classic Hermès chypre through a luminous floral composition designed around the unmistakable white lily. For Nagel, the flower emerged as the natural emblem of a modern, adventurous woman, its soft petals and elegant calyx lending the fragrance a sensual quality reminiscent of skin against skin.

White lily is paired with orange blossom, to tempers the flower’s intensity with a delicate freshness. Beneath the floral heart, the fragrance takes a distinctly warmer turn with roasted oak wood, evoking the gourmand character of rum, and Gayo patchouli, adding depth and sensuality.

One of the more unexpected elements is miracle berry, a small West African fruit that has fascinated Nagel since childhood. Inspired by a Beninese folktale about its ability to transform sour flavors into sweet ones, Nagel incorporated the botanical material for its warm, dried-apricot character, adding an almost magical dimension to the composition.

The bottle continues the visual language of the Barénia line while taking on a new hue. Lacquered in a soft orange-pink, the refillable bottle is finished with a silver-toned plate embossed with the house’s signature Clou Médor studs. The packaging echoes the shade of the glass, while a white H provides a graphic contrast.

Barénia Pleine Fleur will be available at selected Hermès boutiques worldwide beginning August 24th for $221 CAD, marking another evolution of the house’s distinctive approach to the chypre.
