San Francisco native Susan Hengst has long had a New York following for nearly as long as she’s been designing. When we’re in New York we’re always sure to check out the racks at TG-170, often sifting through her latest collection, and due to such high demand Hengst is finally moving her studio and flagship to the East Village.
Nestled in hipster garb heaven, her petit boutique will be a refreshing addition to the hood focusing on lovely hand-dyed garments such as tunics, dressed, vintage-style lingerie, jersey jumpsuits and linen trousers.
We’re currently en route to San Francisco ourselves and we have to say we’re a tad disappointed we won’t be able to visit a Hengst devoted boutique during our visit (although we will be sure to stop by in early October when we head back to New York).
Fall will bring gorgeous chunky knits and some pretty amazing jackets, but for now take a look at Hengst’s current collection.
