It’s no joke: Gucci’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, and the iconic Harry Styles have partnered together on a new collection: Gucci HA HA HA. Representing the initials of ‘Harry’ and Alessandro’, and meant to symbolize the ‘landing place of an inventive two-person journey’, the printed motif will go on labels and aims to define the intersection of creative expression and shared perceptions of two different consciences.

Alessandro and Harry met many years ago and both of their careers have since flourished: Harry has just released his first solo album and Michele has recently debuted as Gucci’s Creative Director. The pair have messaged each other for years, sharing trips and experiences, and have always ended their messages with the laughing face emoji.

This playful collection, unveiled at Milan Fashion Week Men’s, features elements of English tailoring, transformed into romantic accents and includes sartorial suits, treated denim jackets, velvet suits in irregular hues, printed pyjamas and bowling shirts, lined coats with hoods and frog fasteners, and more. The aesthetic is a mix of 1970s pop and bohemian to a revision of the image of the gentleman. The collection will hit stores in October.
