This weeks edition of New York Magazine features Brooklyn indie rockers Grizzly Bear, looking rather pensive against the headline “Is Rock Stardom Any Way To Make A Living?”
The feature, by Nitsuh Abebe, highlights the woes of being a musician even if you’re selling our large venues much like Grizzly Bear, and a generation of musicians who never expect to retire. It’s a great piece about one of the greatest bands of our time, with their latest release, Shields sure to make many of this years best album lists! Give it a read if you’ve got time for the 5000-word count!
