Toronto’s Greta Constantine presented their Fall/Winter 2015 collection in Paris this past week, coinciding with Paris Fashion Week. Designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong showed against the backdrop of an opulent cream and gold ballroom, a beautiful contrast for their simple, yet sophisticated palette of textured black and washed ashy mauve.
Traditional silhouettes were kept fresh and modern by playing with asymmetry, volume and edgy detailing, such as leather harnesses and bustiers. Greta Constantine is known and loved for their sexy, yet accessible evening wear, exemplified in their FW15 collection by a stunning hand-dyed gathered silk tulle gown. The pair showed strong daytime looks as well – a favourite being a ’70’s inspired floor-length sleeveless column coat in midnight pony hair, paired with a bowed blouse and tab front trousers.
