After the news and track-listing of their upcoming release Broken Dreams Club, San Francisco’s GIRLS have dropped another new track. It’s he last track on the new EP, “Carolina” starts off with an instrumental lead, setting the tone for style they have yet to explore.
This track really shows the bands versatility, they’ve come a long way in a year since “Lust For Life” and Christopher Owen’s opening voice is deep and dark unlike the other yearn-filled vocals. “Carolina” is perfectly crafted in a way that shows GIRLS can rock the psych edge in studio without going overboard.
We love falling helplessly in love with a band, especially when they keep on giving us more and more to love, even in this case where they seemed to have pulled back.
Less is definitely more in “Carolina”. Take a listen below.
