The transformation Gina Gershon goes through to become Donatella Versace is insane! If you haven’t heard, the upcoming Lifetime original movie, House of Versace is set to premiere on October 5th.
Fans of the designer may have been worried that Gershon’s portrayal of Donatella wouldn’t do her justice but judging by this picture from the biopic, they have nothing to worry about. Much of Gina’s new look is attributed to the dedication of film’s team of make-up artists and it’s also rumoured that Gershon stuffed cotton under her lip to achieve Donatella’s iconic pout. “She goes through an evolution — she physically changes, as we all know, and it was important to be as truthful about that as possible. It’s movie magic — a little tape and glue,” Gershon says about her new look to the New York Post. The movie itself is based on the House Of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius Murder and Survival by author Deborah Bell and chronicles Donatella Versace’s life about Gianni Versace, her brother passes away in 1997. Alongside Gina Gershon, you can expect to see Raquel Welch, Enrico Colantoni and Colm Feore.
