Gap, Banana Republic, & Old Navy Holiday 2012 Preview

It’s hotter than heck out there but it’s holiday preview time at Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy right now! It’s hard to get your head around bundling up in style at this time of year, but seeing all of these collections in advance almost made us want winter to come soon (woah!).

Gap was colourful as always for the holiday season with hits of patterns, tartan, and tons of woven accessories no doubt to be on our must have list for the season. Stand out pieces were slouchy tube scarves in fresh muted lime greens, neon corals and patterns galore; a pair of black leather lace ups with a neat little navy blue pull-on tab; a silky black body suit with matching panties and bras in the same pattern; and zippered wallets, carryalls, and iPad cases in brightly coloured leathers and tartans.

Over at Banana Republic for the holiday season they’ve partnered with known costume designer Jacqueline Durran for a collection inspired by the forthcoming film Anna Karenina. With a decidedly Russian edge, the sophisticated collection emphasized accessories, statement jewellery, and a wide range of apparel in subdued winter hues.

At Old Navy it was colour colour colour as usual with eye-popping corals, oranges, yellows, and emeralds featured across the collection. Our eyes were particularly drawn to a delicious coral pea coat, which was also shown in green and vibrant yellow, as well as a selection of knitted hats with ear flaps and holiday-ready pom poms.
