Fujifilm, the makers of one of our favourite digital cameras, the Fujifilm X100VI, has partnered with super cool Japanese label Fragment Design for a sharply executed special edition of the GFX100RF. Fragment, the creative label founded by Hiroshi Fujiwara, remains one of the most influential forces in global street culture. Fujiwara’s impact on Harajuku style, contemporary fashion and sneaker culture makes any Fragment project a cultural moment.

This Fragment Edition reimagines Fujifilm’s flagship medium format body with a deep, polished black finish. The top case and anodized aluminum shell are hand-polished to achieve a glossy, mirror-like surface, accented only by Fujiwara’s discreet lightning bolt logo.

The collaboration carries through to the interface and accessories. A Fragment startup screen, a custom single-hide leather strap, and matching accessories establish a unified minimalist design. The edition also debuts FRGMT BW, a new monochrome film simulation created with Fujiwara that emphasizes strong contrast, textured grain, and cinematic shadow depth.

All technical specifications remain the same as the standard GFX100RF, including the 102 megapixel sensor and Fujifilm’s advanced processing system. What sets this version apart is its exclusivity.

The camera is priced at ¥998,000 JPY, approximately $6,375 USD or about $8,600 CAD. Sadly, for all of us camera enthusiasts, this will only be available in Japan through a lottery on Fujifilm Mall, with pre-orders opening on December 20, 2025.

Good luck to all our Japanese friends!
