Friendly Fires and The Asphodells have teamed up for a couple collaborative tracks which according to the press release clock in at about ten minutes each. Produced by Friendly Fires Andrew Weatherall and The Asphodells Timothy J Fairplay to combine their two musical styles for their own “pure joy of experimentation and collaboration rather than a specific end goal.”
The two tracks were recorded in Weatherall’s Shoreditch studio as well as Friendly Fires frontman Ed Macfarlane’s basement studio utilizing “a desk that once belonged to influential German producer Konrad ‘Conny’ Plank to mix the tracks”.
Below is a preview of the first track “Before Your Eyes” and the second track “Velo” is set to be revealed on an AA-sided 12″ March 31st via Friendly Fires own label Telophase.
