We’ve been impatiently awaiting Flume’s return and in just a few weeks into 2016 he’s given us two new songs as well as a preview of his forthcoming sophomore album Skin. Today, he shared the music video for “Never Be Like You” featuring Kai. The clip was directed by Clemens Habicht (Eric Prydz, Tame Impala, Bloc Party) who he’s collaborated with before. The video stars Australian actors Sophie Lowe (Adore) and Sam Reid (Belle) seen through the memories of Lowe’s character. She reminisces about the relationship and perhaps the mistakes she made. We get glimpses of happier times through a distorted lens which is a pretty cool way of saying we don’t remember things exactly as they were. Flume makes a short cameo, maybe as the dude that broke the couple apart.
Skin is out this year via Mom + Pop.
