Professional pop cultural troll Father John Misty strikes again. This time he’s revealed new official merch parodying Kanye Wests’s wildly popular Life of Pablo clothing line that’s getting swiped up in pop up shops across the globe. FJM has copied Cali Thornhill DeWitt’s design and replaced the text with “Life of Padre” on t-shirts and dad hats. The sleeves on the sweatshirt and long sleeve shirt read “Juan” and “Misty.” Priced between $25-$45, it won’t set you back much to get in on the joke.
But the gag doesn’t stop there. Following controversy over a stolen Rose quartz crystal from Echo Park’s Moon Juice shop several weeks ago, Misty “fessed up” to stealing the crystal in a lengthy Instagram post. The FJM merch store is now taking pre-orders for Rose Quartz earrings, and the description heavily implies they’re made from the stolen Moon Juice Crystal. While we’re weary to take on a pair of earrings that may bring us bad energy from a stolen Crystal, we have to admit they look gorgeous. Well done.
