Teen Vogue editor Elaine Welteroth is now officially the brand’s Editor-in-Chief.
Welteroth has been promoted to Editor-in-Chief only a year after coming on as an editor. Although the new role will not change many of her responsibilities, her new tasks include “representing the brand’s editorial vision” and “expanding Teen Vogue’s presence through new consumer experiences and products.”
In a statement, Anna Wintour, Conde Nast’s Artistic Director has said of Welteroth:
“Over the last year, she has demonstrated a fearless leadership in her pursuit to make Teen Vogue the voice of a new generation, and we look forward to all she will accomplish in her expanded role as Teen Vogue’s new editor-in-chief.”
We can’t help but agree, it should be interesting to see how Teen Vogue continues to develop with Welteroth at the helm.
