It might just be the summer heat, but we’ve been dreaming about wearing pajamas a lot lately and just in time, J.Crew’s collaborative collection with Drake’s is about to hit stores. In case you’re unfamiliar with the brand, Drake’s has been hand-making scarves and ties for almost 40 years in London and this collection marks their first foray into womenswear.
The 8-piece collection features archival silk prints featuring tigers, unicorns, and birds applied to shirts and pajama pants, silk scarves, and ballet flats. J.Crew’s head of Women’s Design Somsack Sikhounmuong had the following to say about the collaboration:
“Drake’s has such an important heritage and tradition in menswear. One day we thought, let’s see if they’d be interested in doing something for the ladies. After all, any opportunity to borrow from the boys is a great fit for us. We wanted shapes that were simple, classic and clean to show off the intricacy of each print. And who doesn’t love a fancy pajama?!?”
Like seriously. Who doesn’t love fancy pajamas!????????
We had the chance to check out the collection back at New York Fashion Week in February and trust us, the collection looks as good IRL as it does online. Check out some behind-the-scenes imagery of the collection below which ranges from $78- $251 Canadian. Shop it online and at select J.Crew locations starting August 16th.
