LA-based punk rock skate brand Babylon has teamed up with British footwear mainstay Dr. Martens on a pretty sweet collabo. Inspired by founders Garrett Stevenson and Lee Spielman of Trash Talk’s very DIY ethos, the collaboration 1461 silhouette embodies the multitude of layers rooted in the cut-and-sew design world. Taking the meticulous craftsmanship, Babylon is known for and applying it to the shoe the 1461 3-eye silhouette is built with a double-layer upper with a base of premium black Wanama leather covered in a tear-away olive canvas layer. The intention is that with each scuff, mark, and eventually tear, the shoe will be uniquely yours and they will have been worn and torn your way. The shoe features rip tape badges on the heel counter and tongue showing both brands’ logos with an added extra flash on the exterior zip in brushed silver with a Babylon LA logo puller. The see-through “smoke” coloured DMS air-cushioned sole reveals a CHAOS sole pad print and is secured with the signature yellow welt stitching along the top where the sole meets the shoe.

The Dr. Martens x Babylon is officially out now at select partners and drmartens.com now.
