The beauty cabinet is looking increasingly like the dermatologist’s office, and Dior is embracing the shift. With the latest additions to Dior Capture, the house introduces two targeted treatments, a PDRN-Shot and Hyalushot Advanced, designed to visibly transform the look of tired, dull and ageing skin.
The more unexpected of the pair is PDRN-Shot, a radiance-boosting formula inspired by the growing popularity of PDRN treatments in aesthetic medicine. Derived from rice DNA, Dior’s plant-based PDRN combines Vitamin Cg and niacinamide to address uneven tone, diminished radiance and texture, something we all need as summer winds down.
The results are designed to be both immediate and cumulative, in fact Dior reports that PDRN-Shot delivers 25% more radiance for eight hours after application, while one month of use resulted in a 25% visible reduction in dark spots. When paired with Dior Capture Le Sérum, the brand says skin appeared twice as smooth, firm and radiant in the clinicals.
Then there’s Hyalushot Advanced, an expert wrinkle corrector that takes a similar treatment-inspired approach to combine three forms of hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights, alongside a peptide and protective polysaccharide, to hydrate and plump at different levels of the skin.
Its most intriguing detail is the 3D fibre technology, designed to immediately fill hollows and blur the appearance of wrinkles. Illuminating mother-of-pearl particles further diffuse the shadows created by lines, creating a smoother-looking complexion. Dior says the formula targets nine types of facial wrinkles, including forehead lines, crow’s feet, nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
According to Dior’s testing, wrinkle visibility was reduced by 30% after two hours, while one month of use resulted in a three-year reduction in the visible age of established wrinkles. Used with Dior Capture Le Sérum, the brand reports a 50% boost in the appearance of smoothness.
Both launches build on Dior’s 25 years of research into skin mother cells and its ongoing work around oxygen transport and cellular respiration. The result is a new generation of luxury skincare that borrows freely from the vocabulary of aesthetic medicine, shots, boosters, molecular technology and targeted correction, without losing the sophistication of Dior Beauty.
