December was a great month for beauty! The colder air and darker nights allowed for deeper lips, and darker eyes that will take us right through into the new year! As always we’ve rounded up some of our favourite products we simply couldn’t have made it through the month without for you to learn about below.
The Black Tea Firming Mask is an excellent way to keep skin nourished and refreshed during the winter months. This mask is jam-packed with antioxidants including kombucha, lychee seed extract and jicima root juice that helps to soften and smooth fine lines while nourishing and hydrating skin at the same time.
NAILS INC. Victoria, Victoria Beckham x Nails Inc in Judo Red
The collaboration between Victoria Beckham and NAILS Inc., has to be one of the sexiest launches we’ve seen this year. The orange-red creame colour is going to be a huge colour for the spring summer 2015 season and looks great with neutrals and patterns. This polish and other NAILS Inc. polishes can be found at your local Sephora store. If you can manage to get your hands on a bottle, buy it because they sell out quickly!
Released in mid October, this perfume was a must-have for the holidays. The strong scent, boasts notes of lily of the valley, violet leaves, and edemame peas, with additional notes of cashmere wood, ambrette seed, orris and cedar. Tart and fresh, this scent is sexy, youthful, and a great addition to your fragrance collection.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Sebastian
If you haven’t heard of Lip Tar, take note, and this particular shade called Sebastian is a wonderful alternative to your regular skin-tones and nude-pinks. The taupe-plum toned shade has a matte finish and will literally last all day.
Aesop Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste
This light cream-based exfoliant will literally rescue your dry flakey skin in these blustery winter months. Composed of fine river-bed quartz enrobed in a cream base, the paste works to buff away your tired surface cells while lactic acid provides a very mild chemical exploration. A must in any good winter skincare routine.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Colour Pencils in Trick and Sybil
Winter is the perfect time for darker lip shades and these OCC Colour Pencils are a flawless way to execute it. Trick, a warm mid-toned beige, and Sybil, a midnight brown, can be worn separately or together as well as a lip liner or a full on lipstick. If you’re feeling particularly skilled, try using Sybil to line the lips and fill in the corners, and using Trick to fill in the rest of the lips.
NYX Macaron Lipstick in Light Grey
This light grey shade is a staple in my makeup bag. It’s not your usual lipstick shade, in fact, many would shy away from this colour. When creating the dark lip of your choice, use a light grey like this in the centre of the lip to create the perfect gradation and a more muted dark lip. If you’re daring enough this shade can also be worn solo for a twist on the nude lip.
Lime Crime Venus Palette
Words cannot even describe how beautiful Lime Crime’s first eye shadow palette is. Shades of rose, sable, burgundy and deep browns make this the perfect palette for creating a spring 2015 smokey eye. In true Lime Crime form, each shadow is highly pigmented and has incredible staying quality. This palette can be purchased online at www.limecrime.com.
Mermaid Shampoo and Conditioner
How could you not want to use a shampoo and conditioner combo named Mermaid? These products, adorned in the ritziest of packaging are sulphate-free and not tested on animals. Floral, coconut and orange blossom notes make this shampoo and conditioner the perfect reminder of summer during these long winter months.

These liners give your traditional holiday makeup a little bit of a twist and are a quick an easy product to tackle that New Year’s eve makeup look.
