Death From Above (formerly Death From Above 1979, but now they’re timeless) are back, baby.
Earlier this month, the Torontonian punk duo (made up of vocalist/drummer Sebastien Grainger & bassist Jesse F. Keeler) announced the slight name change & released their new track “Freeze Me,” which was featured on the Season 4 premiere episode of HBO’s Silicon Valley.
Now, there’s a muscular music video to match the track’s Hulk-like riff. Directed and edited by Corey Adams, the video was shot in Los Angeles and features the band catering to some intense bodybuilders.
Grainger stated in a press release:
“When Corey Adams started talking to us about making this video he said he wanted it to be about how bodybuilders would spend their last day on earth before the nuclear apocalypse. He also mentioned there would be a guy dressed as Rambo playing a machine gun like an electric guitar and a lady body builder pumping iron under water. He had us at hello.”

Hopefully this new tune and video means there’s a new album on the way. We’ll have to wait and see! In the meantime, catch the boys on tour at the dates below.
