Earlier this summer we previewed Canadian leather institution Danier’s collection for the upcoming fall winter season. It’s hard to dream of cooler days when we’re currently sweating through our shirts, but there were delighted by the offerings, envisioning crisp fall temperatures.
Signature jackets and coats were shown mostly in classic and timeless black, with the emphasis on textures and accents rather than selection in colour. Interesting furs both faux and real punctuated the collection in versatile shawls and scarves while knits continue to be incorporated with leather with one of the most advanced combinations being a leather bonded to a cozy knitted interior, taking on the texture.
On the accessories side, lush cream leather is looking studious applied to backpacks with black zippers and drawstring bucket bags. Gloves are of course soft leather with fur trim, their Prada-esque Saffiano leather is applied to folios and wallets, and generous fringes trimmed roomy cross body bags.
For men, classic down vests accented with metallics and touches of pony hair air on the side of high fashion, with versatile briefcases and folios staying classic in a few masculine colours and textures. Toiletry cases are no longer an afterthought looking at a pebbled double zipper bag, and outerwear plays up a few trends, while still being totally wearable.
Take a look through some of our photos from the preview below and start getting ready for fall!
