Converse has joined forces with Japanese brand NEIGHBORHOOD to release a special footwear capsule that fuses streetwear, workwear and NBHD designer Shinsuke Takizawa’s roots in motorcycle counterculture.
The capsule features reimaginings of two of Converse’s iconic silhouettes – the One Star ’74 and Chuck ’70. The One Star is crafted with a black suede upper and complemented with NBHD text along with foxing tape while the Chuck ’70 is redone in black canvas and leather. The Chuck ’70 additionally boasts a “gear shift” toe overlay for resilience during motorcycle riding.
The Converse x NEIGHBORHOOD One Star ’74 and Chuck ’70 will be available from Converse retail stores, select stockists and Converse.com beginning April 6.
