American heritage sneaker brand Converse continues their effort of working with cool and emerging brands in 2019 with the announcement of their collaboration with Paris-based lifestyle brand Perks and Mini (P.A.M.). Known for their aesthetic of combining street culture with art, design and function the capsule collection is intended to push the boundaries of progressive street style.
Launched in 2000, P.A.M. is a Paris-based lifestyle brand that emphasizes graphic art elements and multi-layered creative experiments in their pieces. The brand reimagined the Chuck 70 silhouette using the idea of “mutation,” the result is a shoe that allows the wearer to adapt and interpret how they will wear it on their own. Made using a PrimaLoft® – a thermal material developed by the US Army in the 80s – the upper of the shoe can be fully removed with a zipper. When unzipped the shoe is a canvas slip-on Chuck 70 that features a dual-branded tongue patch with side panel.
Converse x P.A.M. sneaker is available globally on January 19 and will be releasing in Canada at Converse.ca, Haven, Livestock, Capsule, Exclucity for $160CAD.
